To help parliamentarians learn more about the British Council and its work, at home and abroad, to promote English alongside British education, culture and values; to promote the impact of this soft power; and to support the British Council, offering advice and encouragement in both its everyday and long-term work.

Note: All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are informal, cross-party groups formed by MPs and Members of the House of Lords who share a common interest in a particular policy area, region or country. APPGs have no official status within Parliament.
