Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what assessment he has made of trends in the level of physical violence in prisons in the UK.

For an assessment of trends in the level of physical violence in prisons in Northern Ireland and Scotland, I would direct the honourable member to the relevant Departments from the devolved administrations.
