Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, with reference to the Autumn Statement 2023, whether he plans to bring forward legislative proposals to provide the Crown Estate with (a) borrowing and (b) wider investment powers during this Session.

As set out in Autumn Statement 2023, to further accelerate the UK’s world-leading offshore wind deployment, the government will bring forward legislation to provide the Crown Estate with borrowing and wider investment powers as soon as parliamentary time allows. This will help to unlock a further 20-30GW of new offshore wind seabed rights by 2030.
