We have committed to investing an additional £5.4 billion over three years to begin a comprehensive programme of reform for adult social care and support the delivery of high quality, compassionate care.

This includes at least £500 million to fund social care workforce professionalisation, initiatives to improve workforce wellbeing and further reforms to improve social care recruitment and support. We are continuing to work with care users, providers and other partners to develop our plans to be published in a white paper for reform later this year.
