Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what (a) steps he is taking and (b) methodologies he is using to assess the economic impact on (i) each local authority area and (ii) York of the covid-19 outbreak.

The Government is committed to supporting all regions and nations of the UK through the COVID-19 outbreak.
HM Treasury is working with local leaders, including those in the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Local Enterprise Partnership, as well as the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government and other departments, to understand the impacts of the outbreak on the region.
