Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, how many people have registered as self-employed with HMRC since 6 April 2019.

The newly self-employed have until 5 October after the end of the tax year in which they become self-employed to register with HMRC and until the following 31 January to file a return. Reliable data only becomes available after these dates are passed.
