Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, how many employees that started work with a new employer between 28 February 2020 and 19 March 2020 were included in a Real-Time Payment Submission from that employer that reached HMRC between 20 March 2020 and 28 April 2020.

As a result of incomplete information supplied in some PAYE full payment submissions, such as employee start dates, it is not possible for HMRC to provide an answer to the question.
