Question to the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, with reference to the Department’s press release entitled Joint Statement of 16th Meeting of the India–UK JETCO, published on 12 October 2026, what estimate he has made of the value of tariff savings realised by UK exporters to India since the agreement entered into force.

The Department has not yet made an estimate of the value of tariff savings realised by UK exporters to India since the agreement entered into force in July. This is because the data required to calculate the savings is not yet fully available. The Department will publish tariff savings estimates in due course once the data is available.
