Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what assessment his Department has made of the potential merits of re-introducing issue fees in the Employment Tribunals (England and Wales).
This question was answered on 19th October 2026
No fees are payable to bring a claim to the Employment Tribunal (ET).
The previous Deputy Prime Minister on 8 October 2025 stated that it will remain free to bring a case to the ET so that everyone, regardless of their means, can stand up for their rights at work.
