Government guidance advises households to use local recycling centres, council bulky or special collection services, or authorised private waste operators where waste cannot be collected routinely. Businesses must use registered waste carriers or permitted facilities and ensure waste is managed lawfully. Guidance can be found at: Household waste; Business waste; Duty of care code.
