The British Government congratulates Kais Saied on his election as president of Tunisia. We remain in close touch with the Government of Tunisia and look forward to working with the new Government when it is formed in the near future. I held comprehensive talks with the Tunisian Secretary of State to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sabri Bachtobji, at the UK-Tunisia Bilateral Forum in London on 12 September. The signing of the UK-Tunisia Association Agreement on 4 October, and the UK-Tunisia Investment Forum on 22 October were other recent highlights of our growing bilateral co-operation.
