Question to the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, pursuant to the answer of 2 September 2026 to question 19560 on Local Government: Cambridgeshire, whether his Department has held discussions with (a) Cambridgeshire County Council and (b) District Councils on Local Government reorganisation.

The Department has not held discussions with Cambridgeshire County Council or Cambridgeshire district councils on local government reorganisation. Local government reorganisation is the responsibility of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
