Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what assessment he has made of the reasons for the price differentials for LPG across regions of the UK.
Much like other commodities, local costs of LPG depend on the local market, including regional competition factors and the different costs of transporting fuel to different regions. Costs can also vary between regions, both between suppliers and (in the case of heating LPG) according to delivery costs for different customers. There is a regime in place to monitor competition in the UK marketplace and intervene where deemed necessary.
