Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what steps he is taking to ensure that domestic fuel prices are adjusted following falls in the global oil price.

The Government thinks it is vitally important that retail customers fully benefit from oil price falls. Customers pay more when the oil price rises and they should pay less now when oil prices have fallen. The best way to achieve this is through effective market competition, which drives prices down.
