Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what steps has he taken to strengthen the UK’s defence strategic partnership with the US since February 2022.

The Defence Secretary and his officials speak regularly with their US counterparts to ensure we are strategically aligned across our defence and security relationship. We have remained in lockstep with the US in our support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced the historic optimal pathway to implement the AUKUS partnership, and most recently committed in the Atlantic Declaration to optimise our export control laws to streamline defence trade between our nations.
