Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what assessment he has made of the level of taxation on sanitary items in countries outside the EU.

The Government has not made an assessment of the level of taxation on sanitary items in countries outside the EU.

We are committed to introducing a zero rate of VAT for these supplies as soon as legally possible.
