Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to the Answer of 12 January 2023 to Question 117811, whether his Department is aware of any other technical IT faults with the asylum application process.

In pursuant to the Answer of 12 January 2023 to Question 117811, the Home Office can confirm we are not currently aware of any other further submission cases that have encountered the same issues.

The Asylum Transformation programme aims to bring the system back into balance and modernise it.

As part of transforming the asylum system, we are focused on increasing productivity by streamlining, simplifying, and digitising processes to speed up decision making.
