Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, pursuant to the Answer of 15 December 2022 to Question 108375 on Prisoners: Gender Recognition, what his Department's definition is of (a) transmale, and (b) transfemale.
This question was answered on 23rd January 2023
The terms “transmale” and “transfemale” used in the table provided in the answer to question 108375 were used erroneously in seeking to use the same language as the categories used in Question 108375 (“transman” and “transwoman”) and do not represent a change in the department’s definition of transgender men and women.
