The Minister for Veterans and People (Mr Calvin Bailey)
I am pleased to place in the Library of the House today the Ministry of Defence’s formal response to the Service Complaints Ombudsman for the Armed Forces annual report for 2025 on the fairness, effectiveness and efficiency of the service complaints system.
The ombudsman’s report assessed the service complaints system and the work of the SCOAF’s office in 2025. The response sets out the MOD’s comments to the report and views on the one new recommendation that was made.
The MOD values the strong independent oversight that the now Armed Forces Commissioner brings to the service complaints system and remains committed to having a system in which our personnel can have confidence.
