To provide a forum and network for parliamentarians with an interest in medical research; to protect and strengthen the UK's world-leading medical research environment by facilitating collaboration between parliamentarians and medical research bodies and providing up-to-date information on developments in medical research, including aspects of public health, the ethics of research and the implications of research findings for society.

Note: All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are informal, cross-party groups formed by MPs and Members of the House of Lords who share a common interest in a particular policy area, region or country. APPGs have no official status within Parliament.
