@pieorama2 it’s a really interesting idea and I know many people have very fond memories of local lidos, sadly long gone. I know the City want to hear all proposals for the Broadmarsh site but to have realistic prospects they need to be able to secure investment & be sustainable

It makes no sense to reopen pubs and cinemas but not gyms, swimming pools and lidos that can meet social distancing rules. It’s also nonsense to say a cricket ball is a vector for the illness but somehow a football is ok. We need an urgent review of these decisions. https://t.co/tEXimqbJuo

I ❤️ swimming ?‍♂️ . In good weather I swim daily in sea & in winter in my local pool. I understand why some indoor pools might need longer to open up after Covid but outdoor gyms have been allowed to open so why aren't lidos. Wild swimming isn't for all and lido swimming is safer.
