Republic of Ireland: Common Travel Area

Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask His Majesty's Government, further to the Written Answer by Baroness Chapman of Darlington on 11 June (HL500), whether they will now answer the question put, namely when a British diplomatic or consular representative in Ireland last visited Shannon Airport; and whether any report was made as to the arrangements there for implementing the Common Travel Area for passengers arriving directly from the United Kingdom.

Officials from British Embassy Dublin regularly visit Shannon Airport, most recently in February 2026 and November 2025. Neither of these visits resulted in the kind of report described by the Noble Lord.
