Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made, if any, of Russia's plans to set up a naval base on the Eritrean Red Sea coast.

Russia has long sought to pursue interests on the Red Sea. We continually monitor developments in the region.
