General practitioners and other providers are responsible for ordering flu vaccine supplies directly from manufacturers. The Department is in regular contact with stakeholders to ensure there is a robust supply chain throughout the winter. The Department has also secured additional central stock which are available for delivery should providers in England require more flu vaccines. Deliveries are typically phased between September and December with the majority of flu vaccines distributed to providers in the United Kingdom.
