Question to the Department for International Trade:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether the UK's post-Brexit trade deal with Switzerland will allow UK firms to continue trading on the same basis as they do today.

The Government remains focussed on ensuring continuity, as far as possible, in our existing trading arrangements, including with Switzerland. We have committed to informing Parliament as soon as agreements are signed with partner countries.

As set out in our letter to the Chairman of the International Trade Committee, we will be publishing a full report on the UK-Switzerland Trade Agreement, once the agreement is signed. This report will detail any significant differences from the original EU-Switzerland free trade agreement.
