Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what assessment he has made of the implications for his policies of the statistics on people who died after claiming employment and support allowance published by his Department on 27 August 2015; and if he will make a statement.

Whilst any death is extremely distressing for the family no causal link whatsoever can be made between the likelihood of dying and the fact that someone is claiming benefits.
