Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many assignments NHS volunteers have undertaken during the covid-19 outbreak.

As of 13 September 2020, NHS Volunteer Responders have undertaken 831,049 tasks since the start of the programme.

In addition to the NHS Volunteer Responders programme, National Health Service trusts also manage their own volunteers and further information on these volunteers is available at the following link:

https://www.england.nhs.uk/participation/get-involved/volunteering

Data is not held centrally on the number of assignments completed for these volunteers.
