On 5 September I summoned the North Korean Ambassador to make clear the UK's condemnation of North Korea's nuclear test on 3 September. I emphasised that North Korea's reckless actions have created a deeply dangerous and unstable situation on the Korean peninsula. I urged the Ambassador to pass on this message to the regime in Pyongyang: it must end its illegal pursuit of nuclear and ballistic missiles and return to dialogue with the international community.
