Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, if she will take steps to engage with (a) stakeholders and (b) members of the public on inheritance tax policy.

The Government published tax policy making principles on 12 June 2025. These principles underpin the Government’s approach to delivering tax policy changes, including setting out how it will engage with stakeholders during tax policy development.
