Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many of the fines issued by the NHS Business Authority in 2016-17 have been paid.

In 2016/17 the NHS Business Services Authority issued 1 million fines with a total value of £85.7 million. Approximately 18% of the total value requested was recovered during this period which amounts to £15.5 million.
