Diabetic eye screening has continued through the pandemic response for those at highest risk. NHS England and NHS Improvement are now working with service providers to ensure that, where services took the decision to reschedule appointments, services are restored as soon as it is safely possible to do so, in order to minimise any risk to individual patients.
