Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, with reference to the policy paper entitled The Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution, published on 18 November 2020, how many jobs have been created in carbon capture, usage and storage since the publication of the plan.

The Government does not hold data on all jobs which have been created in carbon capture, usage and storage since the publication of the plan. The Government estimates the carbon capture industry could support up to 50,000 jobs in the UK in 2030.
