Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, how much from the apprenticeship levy has been given to the Welsh Government since the levy came into force.
The apprenticeship levy was introduced from 6 April 2017 and is payable by all employers operating in the UK with an annual pay bill over £3 million.
Skills policy is devolved and the devolved administrations will receive a population share of the Office for Budget Responsibility’s March 2016 forecast of revenue from the levy. In 2017-18, the Welsh Government will receive £128 million.
