Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, whether his Department has had recent discussions with clinical bodies on the potential benefit of (a) the Mediterranean diet and (b) other diets in reducing the incidence of cancer.

No discussions have taken place with clinical bodies on the potential benefit of certain diets and reducing the incidence of cancer.

Government advice is to eat a diet consistent with the Eatwell Guide:
