Non-domestic Rates: Public Houses

Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, with reference to table 2.1 in the Spring Budget 2017, how many pubs in (a) the SE1 postcode area and (b) London the Government expects to give help to in order to mitigate the proposed business rates rise.

The Government will shortly be consulting on the eligibility criteria for the pubs discount. All eligible pubs with a rateable value less than £100,000 will receive up to a £1000 discount.
