Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many people have been living with a diagnosis of epilepsy in each of the last five years.
Information concerning the number of people living with a diagnosis of epilepsy in each of the last five years is not collected. However, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence estimates that epilepsy affects between 362,000 and 415,000 people in England. Total spend on treating individual neurological conditions, such as epilepsy, is not available.
