Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, with reference to the Minister for Science and Investment Security's responsibilities, for what reason the responsibility for intellectual property has been removed from the portfolio of the Minister for Science; where that portfolio now resides; whether the Minister for Science is responsible for the Investment Security Unit; where responsibility for Oneweb resides; and whether responsibility for maritime and shipbuilding includes maritime industrial strategy.

Ministerial portfolios are balanced across the ministerial team to ensure a reasonable split of workload, maximise efficiency and effective policy development, and reflect individuals’ expertise.
