Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether there is a penalty clause for late delivery of the dismantling of HMS Swiftsure in the dismantling contract.

As is normal for defence contracts, there are a number of levers available that may be applied if contractual delays occur, the use of which are dependent upon the cause and severity of the delay.
