Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many people have been diagnosed as having chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in each of the last five years.

The number of people diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) each year is not available. However, the number of patients with a diagnosis of COPD on their general practitioner patient record for each year between 2011-12 and 2015-16 is displayed below.
