Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what discussions he has had with (a) the Royal College of Nursing and (b) other Royal Colleges on the role of statins in reducing the number of premature deaths caused by heart disease.

There have been no recent discussions between the Department and the Royal College of Nursing or other Royal Colleges on the role of statins in reducing the number of premature deaths caused by heart disease.
