Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, with reference to Start-up aid for airports: applications received, published by his Department on 27 March 2015, for what reason he has not yet published a short-list of routes that have successfully met the criteria at initial application stage; when he intends to publish that short-list and (c) when he intends to announce successful bids.

The Government is currently assessing whether the 19 routes that submitted applications for start-up aid funding meet the European Commission guidelines and will announce then after the Budget how we will take this forward.
