The Government has been clear that every single one of us, no matter who we are, where we live, or our social circumstances, deserves to lead a long and healthy life.

Public Health England’s report has further emphasised that we must do more to level up health across the country and reduce health inequalities.

Professor Sir Michael Marmot has already played an important role in shining a light on the vital issue of inequalities and his dedicated work and the wider determinants of good health will be considered as part of the work being taken forward by the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Equalities (Kemi Badenoch MP).
