The Department for Education does not collect this information. Local authorities, in consultation with their Schools Forum, are responsible for deciding how best to distribute early years entitlement funding to local providers. In turn, the department allocates funding to local authorities through the Dedicated Schools Grant which also includes the budgets for schools and high needs.
