Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to ensure that his Department's guidelines on testing for covid-19 are complied with in care settings.

We have produced detailed and clinically approved guidance for care home managers, in addition to a tutorial video to guide staff through the swab collection process. Training and advice can be sought via the local Clinical Commissioning Group Director of Nursing, in the same way that infection control training is being accessed.
