Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what assessment she has made of the potential impact of paying estate management charges for services ordinarily provided by local authorities alongside their council tax on homeowners; and whether she plans to introduce measures to prevent duplication of charges for those services.

I refer the hon. Member to the Written Ministerial Statement made on 18 December 2025 (HCWS1210). We are currently analysing the feedback received to both consultations referenced in it and will publish our response in due course.
