The Government is strengthening international collaboration on the development, validation and acceptance of alternative methods. We are exploring opportunities to convene international regulators and partners to support alignment on regulatory approaches, including through the UK’s 2027 G20 Presidency. This builds on ongoing engagement through OECD test guideline programmes, bilateral partnerships and wider international regulatory cooperation. Further details on international engagement activity, will be set out in the delivery update to the Replacing Animals in Science strategy, which will be published later in 2026.
