To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, what the total cost was of the two pilot programmes referred to in his written statement of 12 October 2026 (HCWS357) which identified 1,352 vulnerabilities across 548 code repositories; how many of these vulnerabilities have now been remediated.

The total spend on artificial intelligence (AI) tokens for both pilots was £24,000. The Government Cyber Unit worked with departments to ensure that all critical findings were remediated, and remaining vulnerabilities have been transitioned into business-as-usual processes for departments to address in line with their existing risk and vulnerability management policies.
