The Government is engaging constructively with the EU on its Made in Europe agenda and has been clear about the challenges it could represent for British industries. The UK and Europe have shared economic challenges that we believe are best met by working together. Where measures like the EU’s proposed Industrial Accelerator Act could disadvantage the UK’s automotive sector, or integrated UK-EU automotive supply chains, the Secretary of State, Minister Sarwar and I have been engaging positively with the European Commission, EU Member States and Members of the European Parliament to make that case.
