Question to the Cabinet Office:
To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, what the budget of the AI Security Institute is in each financial year from 2025-26 to 2029-30; and how many staff it employs, by (a) technical and (b) other roles.

The AI Security Institute has been allocated £240 million over the Spending Review period to 2029-30, c. £60 million per year. This investment helps ensure the UK remains home to the world’s leading AI Security Institute.
As set out in my previous answer to PQ 30890, the AI Security Institute's headcount is 243, equivalent to 227.8 full time equivalent (FTE) posts (as of 12 October 2026). Of these, 109 are in technical roles and 134 are in other roles.
