Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, whether the Welsh Child Payment will be disregarded as income for benefit purposes.

In September, Ministers from UK Government and Welsh Government discussed the Welsh Child Payment. Officials from UK Government are now working with the Welsh Government to further understand its proposal to pilot a Welsh Child Payment and the support required from UK Government to enable this.
